I watched and read up on the long and highly skilled process of ballet shoes specifically pointe shoes being hand crafted, this is a bite sweet process and takes years to learn these skills. Some are bespoke shoes for professionals there for specially made to only fit their shape foot. I have contacted them to go on a tour around the workshop, observe and talking to the craftsman and there day however no response yet.
As we known what you see in ballet looks so weightless, effortless movements that can show a narrative, emotions or just purely how the body can move. From previous experience of dancing I can remember the enjoyment and excitement, I also have the memory of pain and suffering your body takes. I looked up visual of the anatomy to identify areas of muscles joints that go under pressure in different position and movements.
